The Beauty and Homeware Site Everybody's Talking About

Hiya Guys! How's your lead up to Christmas going? I'd love to know!

How's mine going? Well, my advent calendar melted on the 10th, I haven't uploaded since November and my site's statistics really aren't letting me forget that...However, every cloud has a silver lining (we're all about those #positivevibes round' here) - I'm coming back in full swing; a new post is being written, my statistics are beginning to soar once again and oh, trust me... I've definitely compensated for those 10 doors I missed (we love you, dairy milk <3)

Ahhh, sorry. There's me getting sidetracked on my life - #justbloggerthings. What today's post is really evolved around is the world's most stunning website, coconut lane.

You probably know this homeware, beauty & jewelry store like the back of your hand, due to the likes of famous influencers (including Zoella) continuously singing their love and praise for it.

And now, I'm pleased to announce that I too am an ambassador of the brand, a 'Coconut Queen'  (save the curtsey's for later...JK!)  Essentially, what this means for you guys is pretty awesome.

I'm sure by now you're probably frantically scurrying Coconut Lane's Website whilst saying, 'that's going straight in my basket' to approximately every item on the site (and understandably so). However, slow down. Hold it a minute. See that small grey box at checkout, labeled 'Gift Card or Discount Code'? Spotted It? Awesome, because this is where you can enter your 20% off discount code:'lilyloves20'. Okay. Now you can continue!

In all seriousness, this store is blogger's PARADISE. From the sleek and stylish MacBook cases to the fun and fruity lip balms.

Take a look at what I picked up:

Cute, right? All the products are such great quality, and the attention to detail is phenomanol; whoever assembles the parcles deserves an award for throwing in free discount codes and cute notes!

I can't wait to see what goodies you guys pick up!

Best UK Beauty Black Friday Deals

Black Friday's over, but the deals aren't...

No country quite does Black Friday like the US - #weloveyouBath&BodyWorks. However, us Brits do give it a good go. Take Prettylittlething's up to 60% off sale for example, or perhaps, Amazon's I-N-S-A-N-E savings on all things tech, gadgets, and beauty (*all hail the £30 off Echo Dot*).

Contrary to the name, Black Friday isn't just a 'one - day a year' occurrence. This bargain lover's event usually lasts a few days, before being swiftly replaced by the equally money saving Cyber Monday. Although this does give you the security to 'sit on it' and make up your mind before entering your card details, be careful! The deals don't last forever... I learned that the hard way (I guess we weren't meant for each other, Debenhams £35 reduced beauty advent calendar )
#21stcenturyproblems.

Bored of hearing my Black Friday sob stories? Good shout. Let's delve into the deals. Or you could end up in the advent calendar situ...

My Skincare Routine With Dermalogica (Review)

*This post contains gifted products.

Hello Everybody! Today, I'm going to be talking through my skincare routine with Dermalogica and giving you the rundown on some of the Daily Skin Health Range; What worked for me? How good is the formula? Would I recommend?

This is a brand I've been mulling over for ages - ever since I stumbled across the 'skincare routine' hashtag on Instagram and found myself engulfed in a realm of beaming Dermalogica fans. However, it wasn't just the vast abundance of content skincare enthusiasts that had me yearning over the brand. Or, in fact, the sheer volume of positive reviews surfing the web. No, instead, it was the noticeable  love and appreciation for the brand asserted by Skincare professionals worldwide that had me well and truly captivated.

So, (as you can imagine) when Dermalogica reached out to me and asked if I'd like to try out some of their products, I was pretty stoked. I mean, receiving products from the no.1 choice of skincare, from professionals worldwide? Urrmmm...yes, please!
   Shop this post:

My Skincare Routine
with Dermalogica

Precleanse Description:    'Deep-cleansing oil melts impurities and make-up from skin. As the first step in your Double Cleanse regimen, PreCleanse thoroughly melts away layers of excess sebum (oil), sunscreen, waterproof make-up, pollutants and products that build up on the skin, allowing your prescribed Dermalogica Cleanser to penetrate even further for professional cleansing results'.

Verdict: Y-E-S. Not going to lie, I always thought Pre cleansers were just a bit of a scam...like... just one cleanser's enough, right? Wrong. This product absolutely grabbed that assumption and threw it out the window - leaving me with (a lot) less visible pores and proving that my standard cleanser alone just may not be removing every ounze of dirt and makup from my skin. A must have.

Special Cleansing Gel Description:'Deep-cleansing oil melts impurities and make-up from skin. As the first step in your Double Cleanse regimen, PreCleanse thoroughly melts away layers of excess sebum (oil), sunscreen, waterproof make-up, pollutants and products that build up on skin, allowing your prescribed Dermalogica Cleanser to penetrate even further for professional cleansing results'.

Verdict: Just like bread and butter, the pre-cleanser also has its partner in crime. I'm fully living for this cleanser. Not only is the nourishing gel formula gentle on the skin, but it is also highly effective. I can practically feel the excess dirt and makeup slide off my skin.

An unbeatable duo.

Daily Microfoliant Description: 'Gentle, daily use exfoliating powder for all skin conditions. Unique Rice-based powder formula activates upon contact with water, releasing Papain, Salicylic Acid and Rice Enzymes that micro-exfoliate dead cells, instantly leaving skin smoother and brighter'.
Verdict: I've never been huge fan exfoliators. I always found they left my skin red and irritated. I guess that's because I'd never tried the Daily Microfoliant! This super gentle formula enriched my skin with radiance and completely eradicated any trace of dead skin. How? I have no idea...

Skin Smoothing cream Description:' A medium-weight cream with soothing botanicals and antioxidant vitamins to maintain skin’s moisture balance while improving texture, helping to restore suppleness and tone'.

Verdict: Obessesed. I'll admit, my expectations for this were insanely high when I read that one of these moisturizers is sold every two minutes. But, surprise, surprise, it exceeded my expectations. The moment I applied this (insanely moisturizing cream) to my skin I was shocked at how much it actually smooths. Like, pores who? Never heard of them!  A little goes a long way, too.

If you couldn't already work out...I'm a fan of this range. I just love how effective everything is. Dermalogica is one of those brands where you know that when you're cashing in your money, your also cashing in the results. No gimmick. No scam. Just pure, efficacious and gentle. Eh, and not to forget, they're cruelty-free ( I take my hat off for that one)

3 Times The Beauty Industry Conned Us All

*The following post isn't aimed at every brand, just the Beauty Industry in general!

The two most beloved yet contentious words: Beauty Industry.

Like most things in life, the Beauty industry is invariably evolving with the time. Despite being shamefully notorious for generating a lack of shade variety, displaying meager diversity and promoting animal cruelty: the industry is desperately attempting to rectify these problems with expansive shade ranges and a colossal increase in vegan cosmetics (not to say that the prior issues have all been resolved).

However, this time, it isn't a scandal that's left all beauty enthusiasts raging at home. Nuh-uh. These are cases where the industry got a lil' too money hungry, constructing these, suspiciously revolutionary, beauty innovations!
  1. The eyebrow stamp
"Wait, so you're telling me I can create cute, Insta-worthy brows in just 3 seconds?"

"Urmmm, don't mind if I do!"

"Ummm...right...okay, *nervous laugh*, maybe I'll just stick to my good ol' pencil!"

2. Stainless steel mascara
Yep. You heard me. Stainless Steel. Y'know, like the metal, not typically known for putting in dangerously close proximity to your eyeball?
When this arrived on my search engine there were exactly two thoughts cascading through my mind:

1)'What sort of abomination have they come up with this time...'
2)'Huh, I don't remember clicking on the Amazon 'home and Garden' section...'

I have to give it to Hourglass for not making this a complete and utter rip-off, though. The results are pretty good. The Packaging gets next level Boujee points and, wow, can we just talk about how bloomin' beautiful this would look sitting on your dresser?!

But is it really anything your trusty drugstore alternative can't pull off? I think not. And for a whopping $78.00...I think I'll continue with my Lash Sensational!

3.Lower Lash Mascara
Even the title of it sounds like it's worthy of winning 2018's biggest gimmick award.

I mean, maybe, I'm just being a little too critical...
There's got to be some people who get use out of this thing, right?

Huh, I guess my Instagram poll states otherwise...

So, there we have it! Three times the beauty industy conned us all, big time!
