Autumn Clothing Haul 2017

It doesn't get much better than hiding away in a big, cosy scarf and burying yourself in a soft, oversized jumper.

Greetings autumn, the time to take our boots out of hibernation and say hello again to a pair of leggings and a jumper.
The season of comfortable, cosy and warm fashion, welcome, I missed you.

I thought it was about time to update my wardrobe and give it an autumn makeover.
All the things I bought to transform my wardrobe are suitable for multiple seasons rather than just a couple of months of the year.

Misguided top
Although this item isn't necessarily classed as Autumnal I couldn't quite resist the urge to buy it.

There are multiple different ways that I found worked to style this, tucked in to some black (or other colour of your choice) tight fitting jeans, paired with some plain black leggings or if you purchase it in the size above then you can even wear it as a t-shirt dress.

Urban Outfitter top
Okay, so if you don't like Urban Outfitters feel free to leave at this point and if you do please prepare to see  2 other items from this store.

This top practically shouted my name as soon I entered the store, nothing more needs to be said.

Top 2
Slightly more sportswear inspired but still easy to dress up.

As soon as I laid my eyes on this I was immediately drawn to the 90's style red and white collar and zip, let's just say I fell in love.

Top 3
The last one, I swear. It wasn't my intention to come out with three tops from one shop but I'm so glad it happened.

Topshop Grey Suede Boots

I was on the lookout for some new boots this autumn but wasn't completely decided whether to actually get some or not.

However these boots threw my hesitation out the window and practically hypnotised me into falling in love with them. The best part about them is that they are only £35 from Topshop.

I hope some of these items gained your attention or gave you some fashion inspiration and I'd love it if you left a comment on your thoughts and clothing recommendations.

High End Makeup That's Worth The Splurge

Makeup means money. There's no other way of putting it, sometimes you get what you pay for and other times the price tag of a product is purely based on the popularity of the brand.

It would be nice to get something without breaking the bank or at least a good quality product that's worth our wallets slowly shrinking.

There must be some Holy Grail products that are worth are time and money, right? A hundred percent, which no drugstore dupes can completely pull off to the same high standard, and today I'm going to be talking them through for you.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer- £24.50

I couldn't bring my self to not mention the savour of our pale days and I think we all need to take a moment for this product.

Now If you've heard of bronzer, you've heard of Hoola (unless you've been living under a rock). At the Uk's number 1 bestselling bronzer for five years running, I think we are all aware of this products position in the hierarchy of makeup and it deserves to be top space for the next five years coming.

You just need to lightly sweep it on your skin and its beautiful silky formula will greet you with a ton of warmth and pigment (with the bronzer still being buildable).

The finish is matte which is good if you're like me and prefer a more natural look with less shimmer. It also comes with a Good Quality brush and a mirror, perfect for on the go. Fully deserving of all the hype and compliments this product receives.

Hourglass lighting bronzer-£45

I feel very fortunate to have possession of this product as if you are from the Uk you would know what a novelty it is to own anything from Sephora.

If there's anything we can do to get this shop over to the Uk, we need to make it happen (along with Bath and Body Works and the Cheesecake Factory).

I don't use this cream and brown marbled powder as a bronzer like the name suggests as I find that it's a little to pale and shimmery for my liking so instead I use this for a 'sun kissed' looking highlight.

If you are the one to go for a more blinding highlight then this product probably isn't for you but it's velvet like texture made it impossible for me not to mention.

£21.50-Benefit Sun Beam

This nail varnish bottle lookalike, (liquid highlighter) has been in my favourites for a good couple months now and you would be aware of my mini obsession with it if you read my Review on it.

All you have to do is apply a few dots from the soft bristle applicator on to your cheek and brow bones to achieve a natural, bronzed glow.

£21-Lancome Mascara

Although my L'Oreal paradise Extatic mascara (L'Oreal mascara review ) has yet to be beaten, this Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara comes in at a close second.

As advertised this mascara really does give the 'lashes of your dreams' as its big soft brush achieves your lashes to appear longer and with 10 time more volume without looking clumpy. If you're looking for a high end mascara, this is your best friend.

£26-Benefit Primer

What can i say? It's a primer that makes your makeup stay on longer, better and smoother.

Hopefully some of these suggestions will help you out and if you have tried some of these products out or have some products of your own that you'd like to recommend  I'd love to hear about them/ you're opinion on them!

5 Things To Do This Autumn

Autumn, the season of pumpkins, hot chocolate and orange clothed trees. The time to finally dig out your favourite, snugliest jumper and prepare for a competitive game of conkers.

If you are on the hunt for some cosy and autumnal things to get you in a seasonal mood this holiday then keep on reading.

Movie night
This activity doesn't exactly involve a lot of effort and is the perfect opportunity to get cosy, grab a blanket and turn on a film.

If you have a few hours to spare in the evening then you can even invite some friends over to join you, pour yourself a nice cup of hot chocolate and prepare some snacks.

This is a perfect thing to do if you want a quick, easy, fun and inexpensive way to occupy your time or if it's just too cold outside to go anywhere.

I find that baking always leaves me calm and relaxed, although my talent certainly doesn't lie in this particular area I always end up enjoying myself.

You may want to make some seasonal dishes like pumpkin pie, cinnamon rolls and gingerbread or if you'd like to be more creative then perhaps give some cupcakes an autumn makeover.

Additionally, you could go all out and dedicate a whole day to autumn activities and demolish your homemade bakes whilst at a movie night with your friends.

A Trip to the Park
If you have a park local to you it may just be worth giving it a visit.

Personally I think there's no better time to be at the park than in the autumn with the fresh crisp air but still with a hint of sun and the beautiful orange changing colour of natures scenery, ideal for taking a long walk with a warm drink to comfort you.

It is the perfect chance to update your feed with some seasonal inspired photos if you happen to be with someone.

Room Decor
There's nothing better than transforming your bedroom into Autumn heaven which is why decorating my room is a project I have been working on this month.

I was surprised when I discovered I could do this without spending a fortune because I thought I would have to invest my money in quite big things to transform my room.

However, now I realise that all the little things add up into creating a cosy vibe.

I would strongly recommend getting some warm toned lights and hanging them in different places around your room as they completely change the overall mood, Primark do some great ones for really good price (I got mine for £2.50).

Admittedly, I may have gone a little over board on lights this year but I have absolutely no regrets.

Host an Autumn get together
What better than to catch up and share the excitement of the loved season then with your loved ones themselves.

A wonderful time to meet up, toast some marshmallows, make some s'mores and watch movies in the dark with the warmth of a fire.

I hope that some of these ideas helped to inspire those of you who have been struggling to get in to the Autumn swing of things.

Lee Stafford Chopstick Curler Review

Chopstick curlers are something I have seen around the internet for a while now and I decided to finally let my temptation get the better of me and give these a go. Spoiler alert, I don't regret a thing!

If you weren't already aware, chopstick style curlers are designed to give you tight, 80's style corkscrew curls.

When I was doing a brief research on which curler I should purchase, the Lee Stafford one was the first to gain my attention at the top of my search bar and with brilliant reviews I thought it would be the perfect product to review for you guys.

Where from and how much?
I bought this product in Superdrug but it's also available in multiple different places. It retails at a very reasonable price of £19.99.

What does it do?
Lee Stafford claims that this hair tool will give you extra tight corkscrew curls due to its super skinny rectangular wand. It's advertised to make your hair look smooth, healthy and silky hair.
The Original Chopstick Styler™ Curling Wand
The results
I was extremely impressed with the outcome of my hair in my first use, the skinny rectangular wand was easy to work with and as the wand heats up very quickly and to a high temperature meant you only needed to wrap your hair round for three or four seconds.

A lot of people wonder if this hair style takes hours to create but as you don't need your hair on the heat for long, it takes no extra time then using your standard curler.

How you want your curls to look is customisable, you can take a thicker section of hair for more of a subtle, wavy curl or you can take smaller pieces for more intense, tight ringlets.

If you choose to go for the more intense look but decide you want it looking a bit more natural then you can always run your fingers through your hair, avoid brushing it at all costs as it will make your hair look 10 times frizzier, believe me on this one!

One of the things that surprised me the most about this appliance was how long my curls lasted without using hairspray to lock them into place.

If you have dead straight, thick hair like myself then you may find that as soon as you reach the outdoors it is almost as if your curls never existed. However, with this my hair lasted much longer than it's ever done before, would strongly recommend.

How To Stay Motivated This Autumn

Whatever your aim is this Autumn, the key thing to achieving it in the best possible way is to stay positive and motivated.

Although we are all aware that this definitely sits in the easier said than category, I'm hoping these tips will somewhat help out those of you who are struggling with motivation.

Stay Organised
This is one of them things that varies in difficulty depending on what type of person you are.

For me staying organised is something I try to do as much as possible, not that it always end up that way.

What I'd recommend is buying some new calendars, diaries or to do lists to help you organise things better.

Having things in writing will help you to remember what you have to do and should hopefully prevent you from forgetting things.

Buying new stationery, like calendars, should also motivate you to start getting organised as you would want to use the new things you bought.

Enjoy What It Is You Do
Whether you are are starting a blog or taking part in a new activity, the best possible way to succeed is to enjoy whatever it is you are doing.

For Example,If you are starting a blog for the wrong reasons and don't enjoy what it is you are doing then no passion or enthusiasm is going into your work, not much success ever usually comes out of that.

Additionally, if you are starting something you have no passion or drive for then it is likely you will have a lack of motivation for doing it, You're commitment will likely be low.

Treat Yourself
If you are doing something like blogging then there's no reason not to make yourself a nice warm cup of hot chocolate just to make the time you're spending that extra little bit enjoyable.

Furthermore you could make a deal with yourself, once you've done what you need to do then you can do something fun in return like treating to yourself to an episode of something you missed on t.v last night.
