As the world is experiencing the coronavirus, it’s becoming more and more inevitable to find a news article, Instagram post or even a conversation that doesn’t revolve around the global pandemic. So, to relieve some of the panic from the pandemic, and bring a sense of normality back into your lives, I wanted to create some ordinary content (and also I just want to share with you guys my thoughts on some new and exciting products!) - so, here I share with you Dermalogica's new Invisible Physical Defence spf30.
I was thrilled when I found out Dermoglogica were sending their new sunscreen to me because I've been trying to get into the routine of religiously wearing SPF (even on cloudy days, because - let me tell you - the sun's harmful rays are not deterred by clouds).
And, yes, I am very aware that it may seem to be ironic to be doing a review on sunscreen when self-isolation has everyone staying indoors all-day anyway, but UV rays can actually penetrate glass (even on rainy days) and speed up signs of skin ageing. Not only this but our devices (phones, laptops, etc) - which we are dependant on much more now thanks to self-isolation - all emit blue light. This form of radiation can damage skin and break down collagen.
INGREDIENTS
ULTRA-SHEER ZINC OXIDE
provides invisible protection against skin-ageing UVA/UVB rays and blue light
BIOACTIVE MUSHROOM COMPLEX
helps soothe skin and reduce UV-induced redness and dryness
ANTIOXIDANT GREEN TEA
helps fight free-radical skin damage
Now, let's talk about the formula! Although the sunscreen itself doesn't necessarily have a thin consistency, it blends onto the skin with a weightless effect, which is something I think we all yearn for in a sunscreen. This also blends into the skin seamlessly and within a matter of seconds regardless of your skin tone, thanks to the use of ultra-sheer Zinc Oxide, so you can say goodbye to that annoying white residue that often gets left behind.
vegan
no artificial fragrances and colours
paraben-free
cruelty-free
